Abstract

The description is substantially identical to that of Patent Specification GB 2081474A but the claims are directed to a helicopter pitch axis autopilot system with provision for manual override when the cyclic pitch control stick is moved away from its trim position, the system memorising the trim position so that the autopilot can subsequently be re-engaged. When the autopilot is re-engaged an airspeed error limiter ensures a smooth transition.
