Abstract

839,586. Brassieres. LEFFMAN Ltd., S. Nov. 20, 1958 [Dec. 12, 1957], No. 38654/57. Class 141 In a brassiere having a front opening which is closable by hooks and eyes 18, 19, the ends of a strap 20 are secured below the respective breast cups so that, when the brassiere is opened for breast-feeding purposes, the strap will retain the brassiere against the body. Absorbent linings 27, 28 for the breast cups are detachably secured to the brassiere by loops 29 engaging in the loops 25 which serve for attachment of the shoulder straps. Each loop 25 is in two parts detachably connected by a buckle 26, Fig. 2, and carries two rings 23, 24 between which the shoulder strap is frictionally held. The brassiere may be made of woven nylon.
