Abstract

A film-producing dressing comprises a cellulose acetate-butyrate polymer plasticized with 40 to 80% plasticizer. The polymer has between 4 and 16% acetyl radicals and between 30 and 50% butyryl radicals. The polymer may be mixed with a solvent such as methyl acetate and used for application by brush or a similar solution may be mixed with a propellant, such as trichloromonofluoromethane, for use in an aerosol container.
