[Also in Group XXX] In tablet feeding and assembly apparatus for use with a machine for wrapping " rolls " of circular tablets of the type comprising a feed table 10, Fig. 2, on which the tablets are laid flat, guides 12 on a table 11 leading from the table 10 to an intermittently moved conveyer 36, plough blades 13 in the guides for turning the tablets on edge as they travel through the guides, a gate 34 for controlling the flow of tablets from the guides into pockets 36 of the conveyer and means for vibrating the tables and guides in their own plane to assist the movement of the tablets, a plate 28 is inserted between the table 10 and guides 12 and is vibrated in an up-and-down direction as well as in a backward and forward direction to prevent jamming of the tablets at the entrance to the guides. The rear end of the plate 28 is attached to the table 10 by five leaf springs 19 and the forward end of the plate rests on, but is not attached to, a pair of leaf springs 20 fixed to the table 11. The amplitude of vibration of the plate 28 is regulated by adjusting the position of knobs 21 on screws 22 which project upwardly from the table 11 through holes in the plate 28. The gate 34, Fig. 5, has comb-like projections 39, one opposite each guide 12, which are so positioned that tablets can pass out of the guides only when the latter are located correctly in relation to a gap between the slots 36 of the conveyer.
