834,631. Securing levers on shafts. COMERY, P. D., and TRENT, K. E. May 15, 1958 [May 22, 1957], No. 15657/58. Class 80 (2). Means for securing a lever 11 to a shaft 10 having an integral worm-wheel 22 formed therein, comprises a worm 24 axially slidable on and rotatable with a bolt 16 which serves to rotate the worm 24 to adjust the angular position of the lever and to clamp the bifurcated end of the lever on the shaft by tightening of a nut 19. The worm 24 is positioned in a slot 13 in the end of lever 11 by two spring washers 25 to allow slight relative movement on overstrain and to relieve, normally, the worm from load, there washers may be omitted.
