Classes 44 and 89(2) A mounting device comprises a channelled rigid plate having a tongue 5 formed as a longitudinal extension of the channel base 4, the tongue having an offset disposition with respect to co-planar cheek portions 2 of the plate, which exist at the sides of the channel, the plate being adapted for the attaching of the same to an article or structure. As shown, the cheek portions 2 are formed with extensions 6, and two such plates are used with an interengaging action for securing together two parts to which they are respectively attached. The plates may be secured by the cheek portions 2, 6 or their tongues 5.
