Abstract

Spindles, arbors and the like which have bearing surfaces of anti-friction material, e.g. nylon, are made by first injection moulding the material directly on to a metal blank and then machining to the desired size. The metal blank is obtained by turning a bar to the approximate size and forming shoulders against which the anti-friction material will abut and/or constrictions which will be covered by the mzterial.
