830,957. Resilient mountings. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. June 19, 1958 [June 17, 1957], No. 19611/58. Class 108(3) [Also in Group XXXIV] A resilient mounting block comprises a main body portion 62, adapted to receive internally a bearing 28 for a rotatable shaft 12, annular flanges 58, 60 spaced radially and laterally apart from the main body portion 62 and adapted to be received within a cylindrical support, and frusto-conical webs 64, 66 connecting the flanges 58, 60 to the body portion 62. A snubber ring 68 is located between the flanges 58, 60 and is adapted to limit excessive deflection of the shaft. The invention is applied to a vehicle drive shaft centre bearing support.
