826,960. Pulleys. BECORIT-GESELLSCHAFT W. BECKMANN & CO. G.m.b.H. March 5, 1956 [March 4, 1955], No. 6845/56. Class 80 (1). A lining for a pulley rim 1 co-operating with a wire cable 2 comprises alternate radial friction and support plates 4. The friction plates are wholly or partly of a deformable plastic of high frictional value such as polyvinyl chloride or a polyester resin and the support plates are of a material of less deformability such as aluminium, a suitable plastic or plastic-impregnated cotton. A number of plates may be combined in a block and aluminium blocks of comb form with plastic inserted between the teeth may be provided.
