826,465. Making wire crates. G.K.N. REINFORCEMENTS Ltd., [formerly TWISTEEL REINFORCEMENT Ltd.]. Oct. 1, 1956 [Oct. 1, 1955], No. 27992/55. Class 83 (2). [Also in Group XVII] A bottle crate has one or more sets of crossed wires forming compartments, the wires being curved downwardly at each side and being bent to this form while assembled as a plane mesh, the bent set then being secured as a whole in the crate. The mesh is fed to dies (not shown) for simultaneously bending a transverse row of longitudinal compartment sides at each movement. The mesh is then fed through to bend the transverse sides in the same manner. The longitudinal compartment sides 16 may extend beneath and be secured to base rods 13 or the base may be a separate mesh, and the compartment sides spaced from it.
