826,258. Cutting water-weed. HOWARD & DENNIS Ltd., and HOWARD, E. J. Sept. 23, 1957 [Sept. 27, 1956], No. 29485/56. Class 6(3). A water-weed cutter comprises two oppositely reciprocating serrated blades 1, 2 mounted face-to-face on a stationary frame 4 carried by a boat. The blades have identical teeth 3 which are sharpened up to their outer tips so that they can operate with a sawing action on thick stems and have slots 6 through which passes a stud 5 carried by the frame 4, the stud carrying a pressure-pad 7. Reciprocating mechanism is connected to the lugs 8.
