823,781. Moulding casings for dynamoelectric machines. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO: March 23, 1956 [March 23, 1955], No. 9156/56. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XXXV] A housing for a dynamo-electric machine is cast from an epoxide or polyester resin by placing a hub 6, an arbor 8, and a core 9 with windings 10 in a mould 1. Cores 16, 12 of e.g. polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate or synthetic rubber, which are inflatable through valves 18, 15, respectively, and a member 25 are inserted in the mould 1, and the resin poured into the mould. After curing the resin, the cores are deflated, with or without suction, and removed, and the member 25 pulled out. Projections 21, 20 and 29 on the cores 16 and 12, respectively from ventilation openings in the housing.
