Abstract

820,370. Automatic voltage control systems. WAGNER ELECTRIC CORPORATION. March 15, 1956 [March 30, 1955], No. 8110/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (4). The D.C. control windings of the saturablereactor bridge voltage regulator described in Specification 786,218, are energized by a pair of self-saturating, full-wave rectifying magnetic amplifiers in accordance with deviations in the output voltage of the regulator, instead of being energized from an undisclosed source. The voltage detector consists of a non-linear choke in series with a rectifier across the output terminals, and the output of the rectifier is applied to the control windings of the magnetic amplifier.
