819,155. Securing seats in rows; nesting. MILLER FURNITURE CO., H. April 23, 1957 [May 3, 1956], No. 12882/57. Class 52(2) A series of seats 40 are carried by subframes 50 bolted at intervals to a horizontal tube or bar 10 and supported by uprights 20 bolted to stubs in the ground, or to the risers 25 of a tiered auditorium, Fig. 7. Alternatively trestle legs 27, Fig. 11, may be-fitted to sections of tube 10, the arrangement being suitable for nested storage. The seats are preferably of moulded fibre-reinforced synthetic resin with integral backs and have resilient blocks 30 adhesively secured to their undersides which contain screwed bushes to receive the securing screws 31 of the subframe.
