Abstract

817,030. Air filters. TRUTZSCHLER, H., and TRUTYSCHLER, H. Dec. 19, 1957 [Dec. 31, 1956], No. 39524/57. Class 8(2). An inward flow rotary filter drum 2 suitable for separating cotton dust and fibre from an air stream and from collected fibre is removed by rollers 10, 11 is driven through gearing 3 from an electric motor 14 controlled by means 13 responsive to the pressure drop across the filter whereby a constant thickness of filtering layer may be maintained. In operation dustladen air is forced through a housing inlet 5 and filtered air passes from the interior of the drum 2 to a box 7 and down vertical ducts 6 in which are located a plurality of filter hoses 8 to effect removal of fine particles. Fibres removed from the drum exterior by the rollers 10, 11 falls into a waste box 12.
