816,442. Stop motions for carding engines. FINE SPINNERS & DOUBLERS Ltd. June 14, 1957 [June 15, 1956], No. 18513/56. Class 120(2) In a broken-end stop motion of a carding engine, a small box D with its rear end open is arranged in front of the calendering rollers A which deliver to a coiler B. When an end breaks, sliver collects in box D and the latter is moved away from the rollers A to rotate a shaft E so causing a lever e<SP>1</SP> to lift a lever catch c so that a Dandy lever C moves, under the weight of a bar G, to stop the machine.
