Abstract

815,798. Motor vehicle covers. BROWN, N. P. J. Aug. 16, 1957 [May 16, 1956], No. 15278/56. Class 103(2) A car cover 1, Fig. 1, is held in place by a tensioning wire 2, Fig. 2, passing through hems 3 in the sides of the cover and then beneath the wings of the vehicle and through hooks or loops or flaps 5 attached to the ends of the cover. One end of the wire is attached to a plate having spaced slots and the other to a plate carrying a stud engaged with one of the slots. The second plate has an aperture alignable with another of the slots to enable the plates to be padlocked together. Fig. 4 shows a cover for a motor scooter held in place by a wire 12 threaded through loops in the tips of tongues 11 on the cover.
