Abstract
814,323. Measuring angles. MULLARD RADIO VALVE CO. Ltd. March 13, 1957 [May 16, 1956], No. 15327/56. Class 40 (3). [Also in Groups XX and XXXVIII] In an apparatus for measuring the angle between a fixed marker 7 and an adjustable marker 8, the readings of counters Cx, Cr fed by a pulse generator P through gates Gx, Gr are compared by a computation unit D, the gates Gx, Gr being opened when a marker 6 on a rotor 3 passes the marker 7 and closed when the marker 6 passes the markers 8, 9 respectively. 9 is a fixed datum marker, which may be omitted when the marker 7 serves to open and close the gate Gr. In a modification, Fig. 1 (Comp.), auto-collimators 17, 18 provided with light sources S and photo-cells P from the fixed and adjustable markers and co-operate with a mirror M on the rotor 3.
