Abstract
A feed for accelerating the growth of chicks and improving their feed utilization contains 0,5-2,0 per cent., based on the dry weight of the feed, of a sodium or potassium soap of a fatty acid having 12-22 carbon atoms in the molecule, e.g. sodium stearate, a sodium soap from tallow, a sodium soap from ricebran oil. U.S.A. 2,604,402, and 2,717,209 are referred to.
