811,007. Spring assemblies. RYMLAND, M. J. Aug. 13, 1956 [July 9. 1956], No. 24691/56. Class 52(4) In an upholstery spring assembly wherein the overlapped end turns of springs 10 assembled in rows are connected by tie wires 26 formed with depressions 28 to engage the overlapped parts and loops 30 inserted between the overlaps to engage clips 60 coupling the springs the clips are left unclenched and serve as hinges to facilitate folding of the assembly. Upper and lower tie wires may be formed in pairs connected by resilient legs 46, 48, Fig. 2 and the ends may be bent as at 36 to align with the assembly edge. Border wires 90 can be connected by similar clips and tie wires as disclosed in Specification 811,008.
