810,964. Blowpipe burners. RAINSFORD & LYNES Ltd., and LYNES, R. K. Aug. 30, 1957 [June 1, 1956], No. 16931/56. Class 75(1) A blow-pipe torch comprises a main tube 3 having a screw thread for the burner base 6 of the ignition tube 4 at one end, a housing 5 incorporating a needle valve 12 and a nozzle 5c for connection to a gas supply hose at the other end and a handle 17 formed by a helical coil of wire concentric with the tube 3. The handle is held between the housing 5 and a collar 3c on the tube 3. A nipple 7 may be fitted into the end of the tube 3 where this enters the burner base. 6. Alternatively the nipple may be supported on a partition inside the burner base, the tube 3 being screwed on to the latter at the rear of the partition, a gauze filter being enclosed in the intervening space. Specification 707,650 is referred to.
