810,941. Rotary engines. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE CONSTRUCTION D'APPARIELS MECANO-HYDRAULIQUES S.I.C.A.M. July 5, 1955 [July 22, 1954], No. 19408/55. Class 110 (2). [Also in Groups XXI and XXX] An hydraulically-actuated rotary engine includes a central gear 25 meshing with a plurality, preferably three, of equally spaced peripherally disposed gears 28 to the opposite sides of each of which are provided two ports 35, 36 for the circulation of liquid under pressure in either direction to provide for the rotation of the engine in corresponding directions. The ports communicate with two separate annular channels 31, 32 formed in a plate closing one end of the chamber containing the gears and connected to a pump. The bearing surfaces of the gears are lubricated by passing part of the actuating liquid through ports 38, 39, 42 leading from the chamber containing the gears to the hollow hubs or bearing shafts of the gears and thence to the bearing surfaces. The shaft of the central gear passes through the engine casing which is mounted on a platform rotatably mounted on a mobile base and carries a pinion 144 meshing with a ring gear 145 secured to the base.
