Abstract
807,662. Thrashing machines. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR A.G. Nov. 29, 1956 [Jan. 11, 1956], No. 36507/56. Class 6(3). In a combine-harvester, the upper part of the machine frame above the front wheels 10 and in front of the threshing drum 4 is formed as a box-beam 11 rigidly secured to the side-walls of the threshing chamber, the rear wall of 15 the box-beam being shaped to conform to the periphery of the threshing drum with which it co-operates to constitute an air-inlet channel to the machine. The box-beam is hollow and may accommodate a fuel tank or tools, access to the latter being obtained through apertures 17 in the side-walls. The front wall 14 of the beam supports a bracket 18 on which is mounted the driving motor 19, and the driver's seat 22 is mounted on the top wall 13. The lower end 151 of the rear wall extends below the bottom wall 12 of the beam. A flap 21 is provided above the drum 4.
