Abstract

807,347. Fusible cut-outs. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. May 3, 1957 [May 4, 1956], No. 13908/56. Class 38 (1). The element 3 of a H.R.C. cartridge fuse is wound in the form of a spiral and has a transverse cross-section in the form of a rectangular channel, semi-circle, V or wave to provide rigidity. The ends of the element are connected through solder 6 and end plates 5 to the end caps 2, and the ends of the fuse are closed by saucer-shaped caps 7. The body 1 of the fuse is filled with arc-quenching material and may contain several elements.
