806,497. Castings. SCHMIDT METALLSCHMELZWERK G.m.b.H., K. March 22, 1957 [April 6, 1956], No. 9545/57. Class 83 (1). [Also in Group XVII] An ingot has a trapezium cross-section in both transverse and longitudinal directions, and lugs b, b<SP>1</SP> extending from each end, the lugs having trapezium cross-sections and faces f, e co-planar with an end-face d and the face c of the ingot. Pairs of ingots form a rhomboid cross-section, Fig. 2, and the lugs b<SP>1</SP> prevent a lengthwise displacement of one ingot of a pair against the other. The surface c of the ingot is the exposed surface during solidification in the mould.
