Abstract

800,768. Road rollers. GREEN & SON Ltd., T. June 14, 1957, No. 18916/57. Class 6(1). A vibrating roller 1 is provided with two out of balance shafts 11, 12 disposed parallel to the axis of the roller, the shafts being driven by a motor 20 through a gear 15 rotatable on the roller axle 4. The gear 15 is driven by belt gearing 17 from the motor and co-operates with gears 13, 14 on the shafts 11, 12 respectively. The shafts 11, 12 are journalled in end discs 2, 3 of the roller 1. The roller may be propelled by hand or may as shown be driven from the motor 20 through a clutch 21, gear box 22 and belt gearing 25. The roller axle 4 is connected by means of rubber bushes to side members 8, 9.
