798,643. Milling-cutters. BROWN & SONS (HUDDERSFIELD), Ltd., D. July 2, 1956 [April 14, 1955], No. 10734/55. Class 83 (3). In a milling-cutter wherein the teeth c are held in longitudinal slots in the cutterbody a by pins d engaging recesses e, f formed in the tooth-roots b and in the slots, the recesses e in the walls of the slots are of part-circular section and those (f) in the roots b are of substantially V-shaped section, the pins d, bearing on one wall of the recesses f and forcing the roots b against the bases of the slots. A pin d is used at each end of the toothedblades of a hob and retained in position by an end-plate h, Fig. 1 (not shown), fixed by screws. The pins, of circular section or formed with a flat, may be tapered.
