797,355. Mine arches. LINSINGEN, M. VON, [trading as BOCHUMER ETSENHUTTE HEINTZMANN & CO.]. Jan. 26, 1955 [Feb. 5, 1954], No. 2329/55. Addition to 709,627. Class 20(2) The mine arch of the parent Specification comprising curved girders 1, 2 clamped together by a U-shaped clip 4 and a transverse wedge 6a is modified by providing another wedge 16 extending in the longitudinal direction of the girders and arranged between the girder 1 and the wedge 6a and adapted to be moved by frictional contact with the girder 1. Two transverse wedges 6a, 6b may be used driven in opposite directions. The girders 1, 2 are of U-section. The clip 4 is carried along with the girder 2 by an abutment 10 on the clip.
