In a combine harvester, the power unit 1 drives, on the stubble side, the road wheel 3, through the gear-box 2, and the rear stripping drum 6 which, on the stubble side, drives the thrashing drum 4, the straw walkers 9, the shaker shoe 11, the grain elevator 8 and the gleanings return elevator 10, and on the standing grain side the blower 7, the front feeding drum 5 and the front conveying drum 17 which, on the stubble side, drives the reel 16, the cutter 14 and the auger 15.
