795,211. Container closures. TRABACCHI, N. Jan. 2, 1956 [Jan. 24, 1955; Oct. 15, 1955], No. 104/56. Class 125(3). A closure consisting of a cover 5 secured to the container 1 by a channel ring 6 provided with a tear-off tongue 9 has the longitudinal axis of the tongue inclined with respect to that radius of the ring 6 which passes through the central point of attachment of the tongue to the flange 7 of the ring 6. A slit 12 may be provided and angle # radiused to ensure tearing commences at angle α or both angles may be sharp and provided with slits.
