794,497. Ironing presses. JAXONS (HILLINGTON), Ltd., and JACK, J. T. Sept. 29, 1955 [June 29, 1954], No. 19007/54. Class 138 (2). The buck 1 of a garment press is provided near one end with a resiliently mounted raised portion 2 shaped to receive the cuffs of a garment such as a shirt, the head 5 of the press being contoured to mate with the raised portion. The portion 2 may be in the form of a transverse ridge and is mounted on springs 4. According to the Provisional Specification the buck may also be formed with a curved extension shaped to receive the neckband of a shirt, the head being also contoured to mate with this extension. Specification 686,467 is referred to.
