Abstract
793,866. Glass. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. Dec. 29, 1955 [Jan. 7, 1955], No. 579/55. Drawings to Specification. Class 56. Glass, useful as a source of radiation, has a composition consisting of between 5À0 per cent and 60 per cent by weight of UO 3 , associated with at least one other glass-forming oxide selected from the group consisting of V 2 O 5 , TeO 2 , MoO 3 , WO 3 , P 2 O 5 . Such a glass may contain up to 57 per cent Na 2 O. Reference is also made to a glass having a percentage composition by weight : TeO 2 64-67 BaO 16-12À6 UO 3 remainder. Specifications 736,073, 744,947, 761,005, 761,288 and 761,289 are referred to.
