Abstract
793,249. Clasp fastenings. TURNER JEWELLERS & SILVERSMITHS, Ltd., J. Dec. 9, 1955 [Dec. 20, 1954], No. 36691/54. Class 44 [Also in Group VII] A necklace comprising at least two separate strings has a single body member 1 with a pair of opposed sockets 12 for each string and means at each end of each string for releasably engaging within a socket. The ends of three strings 3, 4, 5 are connected to spring clasp fasteners 6, 7 which engage in three pairs of sockets 12 in the body member 1. The strings 3, 4, 5 may be independently connected so that the necklace may comprise one, two or three strings, or the two clasp fasteners 6 may be joined by a bridge 8 so that the two.strings 3, 5 may be worn together or removed together. The clasp fasteners are secured by detents in the body member which engage in grooves 10 in the clasp fasteners.
