Abstract

790,659. Sack holders. SIMS, W. H. Sept. 7, 1956 [Sept. 8, 1955], No. 25704/55. Addition to 705,287. Class 58. [Also in Group XXV] Sack holders as described in the parent Specification are modified so that, on opening the frames are tightened on their pivot to enable them to be retained in the opened position. The frame 10 is rigid with the rear 1eg 14 which is provided with a shouldered part 24 arranged to co-operate with a part 23 on the frame 11, the meeting faces of the two parts being inclined to one another. The two faces are held in contact by an adjustable spring 26. The frames may be provided with handles 18a, 20a to facilitate shaking down the contents of the bag. According to the Provisional Specification, the frames are each provided with a stay which overlap above the rear leg and a screw is passed through registering holes in the stays and into a plug in the leg, a spring being interposed between the stays and the head of the screw.
