Abstract
790,219. Phase measurement. MURPHY RADIO, Ltd. Oct. 27, 1955 [Oct. 29, 1954], No. 31332/54. Class 37. [Also in Group XL (b)] Incoming waves, the phase relation of which is to be determined, are supplied to lines 21, 22 both connected to a phase discriminator 23. A delay line 6 whose delay may be varied by a D.C. excitation current from a source 25 (see Group XL (b)) is inserted in the .line 22. By variation in the exciting current controlled by a rheostat 26 the wave in line 22 may be brought into phase with that in line 21 and the output of the discriminator reduced to zero. The rheostat 26 may be calibrated in terms of phase difference.
