Class 85 In a well scratcher comprising a support structure 10 having an internal groove 26, apertures 16 in the structure and opening into the groove, substantially straight wires 23 disposed in the groove, and continuations of the wires forming fiingers 24 extending through the apertures, the apertures are sized to permit limited movement of the fingers. Each wire 23 has two fingers, and the fingers at adjacent wire ends extend through the same aperture. The structure comprises half rings 14 welded to half rings 13, the half rings 13 having knuckles 40 receiving pins 41. The structure has two axially spaced grooves the apertures opening into one groove being staggered with respect to the apertures opening into the other groove.
