Class 142(2) To reduce the friction between adjacent warp threads during shedding, the mails 81, 9<SP>1</SP> of adjacent heddles are raised to different heights by having eyelets 8, 9 and 8<SP>11</SP>, 9<SP>11</SP>, which engage support bars 12, 14, of different lengths. The lowered threads 3 lie in a plane slightly above that of the slay 5. The eyelets may be made in more than two different lengths and may be provided at only the upper or lower ends of the heddles.
