Abstract

787,842. Passenger conveyer belts. STEPHENS-ADAMSON MFG. CO. April 30, 1954 [June 1, 1953], No. 12571/54. Class 78(1). A passenger transport belt 10, Fig. 2, is provided adjacent one end with a landing 12 formed with a safety guard comprising a strip 13 of rubber-like material secured by rivets 16 between strips 14, 15 and formed with a concave surface 17 complementary to the surface 18 of the belt. In a modification, Fig. 3, the resilient strip 26 is secured by bolts 28 between plates 24, 27, the plate 24 being secured to the landing 21 by bolts 23.
