Abstract
781,541. Container closures. MOIR, D. A., and WEBBER, G. G. Nov. 1, 1955 [Nov. 15, 1954], No. 31165/55. Class 125(3). A dispensing and closure device for collapsible tubes &c. consists of a rubber tubular member 1 with an outer end 2 provided with a slit 3 forming a non-return valve and a coupling member 4 internally screw-threaded to allow reversible coupling with the container neck, the parts being held together by the co-operation of a ridge 5 and annular flanges 6, 6a or formed integrally, Fig. 3. To seal the container the inverted tubular member 1 is inserted in the neck and the member 4 screwed on to the neck. In a modification, Fig. 4, the inverted device forms a plug stopper without screw attachment and in another similar modification the parts are integral instead of being separate.
