[Also in Group XXXV] The subject-matter of this Specification is included in Specification 781,042, but the claims relate to a tobacco manipulating machine in which a radio-active measuring device is utilized to determine the mass of a tobacco filler and a similar measuring device acts on material having an effect corresponding to the desired mass, the two measuring devices being arranged in electrical opposition to eliminate effects such as conveyer wear, dust and temperature.
