778,480. Mechanical projector. TYSEBAERT,.A. Aug. 23, 1955 [Sept. 2, 1954], No. 24261/55. Class 78 (1). Apparatus for the projection of material comprises two endless conveyer belts 13, 16 driven at high speed, the upper belt 16 being shorter than the lower belt 13, and being mounted so that it can rise under the action of material fed between the belts. As shown, lower belt 13 has its rollers 11, 12 carried by tubular frame 4, 5 supported by uprights 3, the front roller 11 being adjustable by means of screws 15. The upper belt 16 has its rollers 17, 18 carried by tubular frame 21, the front roller 17 being likewise adjustable by means of screws 23. Additionally, belt 16 rests upon belt 13 so that the former may rise to permit the passage of large lumps of material, the movement of belt 13 upwardly being guided by guides 25 and by articulated connecting-rods 24 and the weight being taken by shoes (not shown) which rest on forward uprights 3. The drive comes from a motor (not shown) adjustably mounted on the tubes 4, and passes to roller 18 from roller 12 through gears 27, 28. Each belt is provided with overlapping side guides and the whole is enclosed in casing 31, the material being fed in at 34 and discharged at 33.
