Class 137 In a louvre construction, particularly for directing the flow of air from ducts, each blade_4, constructed from a single strip of metal, Fig. 3, is supported at each end in a frame 1 by one leg 2 of a U-shaped member which is made of wire, or rod, and projects through the respective side of the frame. The remaining leg of each U- shaped member serves, in a similar manner, to support an adjacent blade. Each leg 2, which projects into an opening in the corresponding end of the associated blade, may be made a tight fit so that the louvre blade may be retained in any adjusted position. When the blades are to be moved simultaneously by a comman operating member, not shown, they are made to fit loosely around the legs 2 which may be tapered at their ends to facilitate assembling. Coninuous recesses may be provided in the sides of the frame to accommodate the base portions 3 of the U- shaped members. In a modification each U-shaped member is constructed of two pins which constitute the legs, the base of the U-shaped member consisting of a plate to which the pins are riveted. If there is an odd number of louvre blades one leg of each of one end pair of U-shaped members is removed and the bases 3 of those members are secured, e.g., by welding, to the frame 1. The plate forming the base of any U-shaped member may be extended for the mounting of one, or more, additional pins.
