Abstract
772,266. Electric transducers. ETABLISSEMENTS E. JAEGER. Oct. 20, 1954 [Oct. 26, 1953], No. 30242/54. Addition to 747,828. Class 40 (1). The thermistor disc of the parent Specification has its contact surfaces silvered and shaped in various ways, e.g. conically, frusto-conically, part spherical, &c., Figs. 1- 15 (not shown), to reduce thermal inertia. The disc may be circular, square, triangular, or otherwise shaped, Figs. 16-23 (not shown), and apertured in various ways for the same purpose. Flexible discs 34, 35, Fig. 24, substantially fitting the inside diameter of an insulating sleeve 36, and having high thermal and electric conductivities (e.g. of copper) are provided between the thermistor 31 and the base 30 of the transmitter casing and between the thermistor and the spring pressed cup 32 further to reduce thermal inertia. The transmitter head 39, Fig. 25, has a hexagonal part 37 spaced axially from the insulating disc 41, nad the construction of the terminal stud 42 may be modified, Figs. 26, 27 (not shown), to prevent it turning in the insulating disc 41. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 558,299, [Group XXXVI].
