A folding table in which the legs 10, 11 are connected in pairs by rails 12 . . . 15 pivoted together has the table top 18 detachably secured to one of the rails 12 by resiliently operating clamp means, preferably a spring clip 20 engaging recesses in the rail 12. The table top is provided with a marginal flange 19 which engages over the top of the legs. A shelf may also be clipped to the lower rails 13, 15 in a similar fashion to the table top.
