771,966. Free-piston compressors. PETERSEN, H. July 30, 1954, No. 22377/54. Class 7 (2). In the two stroke internal combustion engine and air compressor assembly shown the freepistons are interconnected by levers 8, 9 and rods 7. The compressor cylinders shown deliver air into a receiver 33. In a modification each compressor cylinder has a valve located part of the way along the cylinder through which air is supplied to one receiver while the air is compressed further in the remaining part of the stroke and exhausted into receivers at the ends of the cylinders.
