769,821. Spray-producers. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN. May 24, 1955 [June 5, 1954], No. 14950/55. Class 69 (3). [Also in Group XXVIII] In a method of supplying and spraying a liquid in a gaseous medium flowing in a channel, the flow of the gaseous medium-after it may first have been free to expand-is contracted abruptly, the liquid being conducted towards and introduced peripherally into the flow of gaseous medium at the actual location of the contraction as a thin liquid film which is caught and broken up by the contracted flow of gaseous medium and is mixed intimately with the flow of the gaseous medium in the form of small liquid particles. An apparatus for performing the method consists of a channel 1 for the flow of gaseous medium in the direction of the arrow, which channel has a concentric enlargement 4 provided with an abrupt transition 6 to the subsequent portion 8, and a number of inlets 3 for the liquid supply.
