769,398. Wind deflectors for vehicles. BAIER, O., BAIER, S., BAIER, L., BAIER, W., BAIER, W., and SCHLUMPRECHR, E., [trading as BAIER KOMM-GES. WEBESTRO-WERK, W.]. May 26, 1955 [June 26, 1954], No.15208/55. Class 20(3) A wind deflector for a motor vehicle having a sliding roof comprises an L-section rail 8 extending across the width of the opening of the sliding roof and pivotally mounted at the forward edge of the opening, the arrangement being such that the deflector is raised or lowered respectively as the sliding roof is opened or closed. As shown in Fig. 2 the rail 8 is provided with rocker arms 7 pivoted on pins 6 and the raising of the deflector on opening the sliding roof is effected by a spring' 13 fixed at one end to a flange of the roof opening and beneath a rocker arm 7 at the other. The upper portion of the rail 8 may have rubber strips 9 and 10 secured thereto.
