Abstract

768,637. Look-out reflectors for vehicles. MARINOFF, V. April 28, 1955 [April 30, 1954], No. 12302/55. Class 103(2). [Also in Group XIV] A driving mirror for motor vehicles comprises a mirror 2 formed by a sheet of synthetic resin metallised in vacuo and fitted in a moulded synthetic resin casing 4 which is articulated to a moulded synthetic resin arm 5 articulated to a metal support 6 fixed to the coachwork. The casing 4 and support 6 have portions of part-spherical form apertured to accommodate each a fixing screw 11 passing through a washer 12, a rubber member 13, and a dish-shaped metal membei 14. The arm 5 and the casing 4 may be metallized in vacuo, and may be protected by a layer of varnish or quartz.
