Abstract
768,423. Radio receiving circuits, aerial coupling arrangements. PHILIPS ELEC- - TRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. April 18, 1955 [April 21, 1954], No. 11103/55. Classes 40(5) and 40(7) In a receiver comprising a ferro-mag- 'netic rod aerial 1, the winding 2 being'included in the input circuit of a high-frequency amplifier 3 negative feed-back is provided which decreases with increase in signal frequency. With this arrangement the cutting of sidebands on the longer wavelengths is reduced. The winding 2 is tuned by the variable capacitor 12. The cathode lead includes a circuit 8, 9 tuned to a frequency lower than the lowest at which the receiver is designed to operate. Negative feed-back is provided by a coupling coil 7 which is connected in the earth lead of winding 2 together with capacitor 10 shunted by resistor 11. An external aerial 13 may be switched into circuit.
