Abstract

767,185. Shirt collars. ROGERS, Ltd., R. H. & S. Aug. 31, 1955 [Oct. 26, 1954], No. 30920/54. Class 141. A one-piece collar has a lining formed with a longitudinal tuck defining the fold-line of the collar. In one form, Fig. 2, the collar comprises a facing 1, a lining 2 having a tuck 3, and a backing 5, the lined facing and the backing being edge-turned and stitched together along the lines 6. Alternatively, the backing 8, Fig. 5, facing 7, and lining 9, having a tuck 10, may be superimposed and edge-sewn as at 11, and then turned to bring the layers into the correct order as shown in Fig. 5, the opposite edges being turned in and sewn at 12. The stitched collar is preferably treated so as to cause the lining to fuse and to bond with the backing and facing layers. Specification 767,184 is referred to.
